How to Have Flawless Looking Skin Naturally | Smooth Beauty Skin

  1. The most important thing you can do to keep your skin flawless is keep it clean. This does not mean washing it ten times a day. It does mean that you should cleanse once in the morning, and once before bed. Always remove makeup before you go to sleep, even if the product claims you can sleep in it.
It’s also important to find a cleanser that works for your skin type. Most mainstream stores will let you return something if it doesn’t work for you. I recommend natural brands like Burt’s Bees or Alba Botanica for keeping the harsh chemicals off your face and out of the environment.
  2. Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize, and above all else make sure it has SPF! Look for products specifically designed for your skin type. For example, if your skin is oily, don’t go for something designated for dry skin. Always moisturize around your eyes and mouth before going to sleep. The skin is the most delicate in these areas, and needs as much help as it can get. I recommend Philosophy, Kiss my Face, Korres, and Juice Beauty for great natural moisturizers.
  3. During the day you might notice that your skin is getting shiny. The best way to get rid of that icky shine without washing your face and taking off your makeup is to get some blotting papers. These tiny sheets will absorb the oil and leave your face looking fresh. L’Occitane makes some great rice based blotting papers.
  4. If you do happen to get a blemish, don’t fret, you’ll just make it worse. If you can see a white head forming underneath the skin, take a pin and clean it with a cotton ball and rubbing alcohol. Pierce the white part of the blemish gently and ease the infection out. If you press too hard it will leave a mark, so please be gentle to your face. Wipe the pierced blemish with another cotton ball coated with rubbing alcohol. Once it is cleaned out, put a dab of neosporin on it to heal it. If the blemish is much deeper in the skin, try a drying product. I recommend Mario Badescu products for troubled skin.
